The Mini Dock Plus has 5 video outs (2x DVI, 2x DP, 1x VGA)
What is the point of so many outputs if you can only use 2?

Is there a way to split the desktop to more than 2 screen outputs?

Hello, hopefully this link will help you: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/researc ... MIGR-76617 - I'm guessing you have the Mini Dock Plus Series 3? Bottom line is it will depend on the video card in your Thinkpad (discrete vs. integrated vs. both).

The range of ports is to give you an option as to the connection you can use for the external monitor. I have the Mini Dock Plus Series 3 for Mobile Workstations and I use the DVI out (1 of them) to drive a 24 inch HP 1920x1200 display using the T420 in my sig.

I am thinking of getting the Mini Dock Plus for my X230 which has integrated graphics. I need to split to atleast 3 screens. So I take it the integrated graphics wont be able to do that?
