Hi fellas, want to migrate from T420i to X220, have Win7 x64 installed with no custom drivers or software.
Will it boot if I just take the harddrive from T420i and piut it into X220?

It's highly likely it will boot, but you may need some specific drivers to get access to all the X220 model capability.

It may or may not boot. Hard to say. I've successfully, swapped HDD between an X201 and T61. After the swap I had to upgrade a few drivers which wasn't all that difficult. I ran ThinkVantage system update and Windows Update on both machine.
