Bluetooth problem

I know how to send an image from my ThinkPad to my BlackBerry smartphone. I just right click on the image, select Send To>Other and select my phone. Then my phone prompts me to accept the file, and it transfers. I can't figure out how to do this the other way around, how to send an image from my phone to my ThinkPad using Bluetooth. There's no "Send To Bluetooth" option that I can find on the phone, and there's no "Receive Using Bluetooth" option I can find on my ThinkPad. I keep thinking it's a setting that I should have enabled on the ThinkPad that's not enabled ...

Don't know that this will work for you, but here is how I do it.
Right click the bluetooth icon in the system tray, and choose "Receive a file", then on my phone choose "send via bluetooth", and the process starts. There are still options to choose in the Windows wizard, such as where to put the file and what to name it etc., but it works fairly smoothly.

Thanks, Neil, that's just it, I can't find that option "Receive a file" when I right click on the Bluetooth icon. How do I enable that or get it to show up as an option? This is what I see when I right click it:

If I choose "File Transfer">"Find devices ... " and my phone it says the phone doesn't support file transfer. But how did it work the other way around? Is there an "Imaging" option I should somehow enable?

Hmm...dunno. Your options look a little different than mine. And I suppose the phones could be different too, although I've done it the same way with the last three or phones I've owned.
Sorry, but it looks like I've reached the end of my knowledge on this subject. Not much help after all...

No, thanks for trying, Neil. You said your options look different. I may be getting somewhere with this info. I wonder if you have the light blue BlueTooth icon? I remember reading a long time ago that there are two Bluetooth "stacks" that come with ThinkPads, a light blue Microsoft stack, and a darker blue third party one Lenovo also includes. I wonder if the feature I need is part of the light blue Microsoft stack? I would be hesitant to replace the Bluetooth functionality I have with that one, though. Some years ago I inadvertently did that and found out the MS stack didn't support Bluetooth headset capability.

Just going from memory here, but I'm almost certain I'm using the Microsoft stack rather than Lenovo.

That's what I'm thinking. I remember at one point in the past having options to transfer both ways. Maybe it was when I was using the MS stack.

***** UPDATE *****
Great news! I messed around and messed around with Bluetooth settings and did a bunch of R+R restores all to no avail. Ultimately, I ended up wiping my phone and restoring its software from a backup as had been suggested by someone on the BlackBerry forum I'm on. The problem was indeed with my phone and not my ThinkPad. After I did the reload and restore, the "Send Bluetooth" option came back, and I've been able to successfully transfer images from my phone to my ThinkPad via Bluetooth. It works using my ThinkPad's "PIM" feature.
