Dead pixel???

#1 Post by tbu3 » Fri Apr 29, 2005 7:44 am

For about 3 weeks now I've been noticing tiny white spots on my screen. They only appear one at a time and usually disappear when I reboot. Are these dead pixels?

Do a search for "UltraNav bug"

I believe this is a software and not a hardware problem.

Thank God if it is a software problem. I just got my TP last February and it will drive me nuts to know for sure that there's something wrong with it. (Sorry for the exaggeration... this is my first TP and I simply love it).

I checked IBM's dead pixel policy and it says there must be at least 8 of them to qualify for replacement.

The white spots are gone for now. Hopefully they are for good.

I did a search but nothing significant came out. If anyone has experienced the same issue or have any material about it please post your reply.

Sorry for misinterpreting K. Eng's post. I search on google's search engine. Thanks for the post anyway.
