lattest videocard (DVI/dport/HDMI) for advanced dock

#1 Post by Utwig » Wed Jan 30, 2013 6:59 pm

Hi, I want to connect dual HP ZR2440w 24" screens to R60 (has Radeon X1300).

I plan to buy Advanced dock (if anyone has one for sale, make an offer) and put in aditional videocard.

I can hook one monitor to DVI output from a dock, but I need videocard for the dock to drive additonal display.

Requirements are: latest technology, preferably ATI, fits in dock, passive, preferably 2 digital (monitors have DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort). Monitors don't have VGA, so both don't work with Advanced mini dock.

Planned usage is movies, text editing, internet. No gaming.

setup will look like this: dual screens with thinkpad in a dock in the middle (setup is not for me but for a person who researches art and writes a lot of text.

OS of the laptop is Windows 7
T540p, T420s (soon to be T420ps :) ), X61t, T60p, T42p, A21p
