How big an Msata ssd is needed

#1 Post by stuartf » Mon Apr 22, 2013 9:53 am

I have an x230 on the way, interested in getting an Msata ssd for Windows and programs. Currently, I have about 40 gb of these on my T43. I am thinking that a 127 gb should be good, understanding that soe empty space helps the msata performance.

I plan to use the 320 gb platter drive for documents.

Any suggestions on brand? Since this will be going at SATA II speeds, not concerned with the hottest and fastest, reliability is more important.

Not especially, they're all fast and failure rates for all drives are pretty low. This seems like a pretty good deal.

Get the best priced SSD at the capacity that you need. So long as it's a brand name SSD you'll be fine.
