Using the fingerprint reader, I can power on the system and enter bios to change every settings. But I just forgot the password.
Fiddling with the bios settings, I noticed an entry: Erase Internal Fingerprint Data.
Which says:
Erase Internal Fingerprint Data - Yes and No are the options - This option is used to erase all fingerprint data stored in the fingerprint reader. After erasing, it will not be possible to boot a system with the fingerprint reader until power-on security is re-enabled in the fingerprint software.
Is erasing this a solution or a complication? Will it disable the supervisor password or will it lock me completely out of the system?

Re: Erase Fingerprint Data to clear supervisor password?
As ajkula66 already said .... it will NOT erase the supervisor password. If You eliminate the fingerprint data you will no longer have access to your Thinkpad !!! Believe me ... I KNOW.
