Wireless Radio Always Off Ater Restarting

Just about every time I turn on my T530, the wireless radio is turned off, even if it was on before powering down. I can easily turn it back on using the FN+F5 key - and once on it works flawlesssly and never powers down - but why do i have to turn it on each time I turn on the computer? Very annoying. Any suggestions? Thanks.
PS - The wireless hardware switch on the side of the computer is always on, so that's not the issue.
