Lenovo Rescue and Recovery Bootable?

Okay so I have a brand new thinkpad T430, created a rescue media on DVDs and reclaimed the space.
What i wanted to do is replace the stock recovery partition with my own image, which includes all the applications and updates needed (windows update is around 1 gig). Lenovo's Rescue and Recovery creates a RRBackup folders , but doesn't seem to come with a wim image file like the original Recovery partition.
Without the Lenovo's Rescue and Recovery installed, when i press the Thinkpad button it boots into the Recovery partition (My Assumption) and allows me to recover to factory settings. After installing the Rescue and Recovery software, it boots into the software itself instead of the way before.
I tried uninstalling the software after creating a backup and when i press the Thinkpad button it no longer boots into recovery like the original recovery partition . (I assumed the RRBackup folder was meant to be usable by the Rescue and Recovery software only). Hence i also assume that if my C drive is corrupted beyond repairable i wont be able to run the Rescue and Recovery software and hence won't be able to recover from it.
So my question is is it possible to do create a recovery partition like the original that uses my own customize wim image? Where i can restore to my custom "factory" image instead of lenovo's?
