XP page file on CF

Anyone with experience on what type of CF card and CF Cardbus reader I should use if I wanna use it for caching the page file on XP?

Salvaged an old HP laptop from a coworker who was about to trash it, and found she had a 100gig 7200rpm 2.5" PATA inside. :D
Decided to dust off that old T22 and load XP onto it with the salvaged drive. Since I'm up against a 512meg RAM ceiling, I have to keep the page file enabled, so I wanna use a CF card for that. Did a little digging, and found others suggesting that I need to make sure the CF supports DMA mode so it can be properly mounted as an IDE drive as opposed to a removable drive, but also very important that I use the right kinda cardbus reader(I think it has to be "passive"). I wasn't sure if it was necessary to have a 32bit reader.

I tried searching the forum, but didn't find the answers I was looking for.
Thanks in advance!

You should probably just dump this idea. First of all, you will probably never find a DMA-capable CF Cardbus reader. And even if you did, I doubt it would be faster than a typical hard drive, unless you get one of those ultra-fast CF cards that probably cost more than this old HP laptop.

Thanks for the tips. I completely forgot how useless the optical drive is.
Time to get an Ultrabay 2000 SATA caddy. :)
