Internal DVDRW ultrabay as USB drive?

I was thinking if it is possible to connect an Ultrabay DVDRW drive that comes with T520 with a cable to USB port as an external burner.

I need to replace DVDRW with an UltraBay HDD caddy so I though it would be an interesting concept.

I found this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/140970757487?ru ... 26_rdc%3D1

It is an UltraBay HDD (which I have to get anyway) with a USB cable - could it be used for this purpose?

Search eBay with "external usb sata burner case" and for about $10.- you get a case for the CDRW/DVDRW.
But it looks like that (eBay) USB cable can be used on any SATA Ultrabay drive.

Thanks! But it is a pain to import it to EU, so I would like to check out my local options, too.
Do you think this cable would work if I connect it directly to DVDRW?

My bad. I somehow missed the second line.
