How do I put the function key caps back on??

I have an X220, which I take good care of, as I really don't know what I'm going to ever get to replace it. I vacuum clean the keyboard two or three times a week, to keep it free from dust.

There was a bit of fluff stuck under one of the function keys and I ended up taking the key caps for F9 and F10 off. Now I cannot get them back on. Does anybody know how to do it without breaking anything?

I don't remember it being this hard on my earlier ThinkPads. These keys seems to go on sideways, compared to how I remember from earlier ones (but I probably never took the smaller keys off before).

Any advice of links to help me get these two function key caps back on?

Take a visit over to YouTube. They have a variety of videos posted on how to replace the individual keys. Just find the appropriate video that matches how your keys are mounted.

Here is a link to some of the videos......

I had one key pop-off my X220. That was awhile back. Don't remember exactly how I got it back on. At least it did go back on, and I have had no issues since.

Brings to mind this old thread.
vacuum the hell outta my keyboard!

Thanks for the replies. I have managed to get one of them on, but there's still the other one that refuses to stick back on.
