I just ran across this site, and I thought it might be helpful to those of you just starting out with your new Thinkpad (like me): http://www.acs.nmu.edu/docs/Help/System ... attery.php

I'm a newbie, with an X32 2885-k4u.

I haven't been able to find the battery MaxiMiser. Has IBM/Lenovo replaced the batery MaxiMiser with the less flexible Power Manager? If not, where can find or I download the MaxiMiser?

The Power Manager is the same thing as the battery Maximiser. I've uesd both, and IIRC the only real difference is the UI.
