[SOLVED] Message Center Plus generating Error 1316

Today, I attempted to update Lenovo Message Center Plus to v3.3.0003 on my x230 Tablet.

The installation ended with Error 1316: "The specified account already exists.”

Anyone else having this issue? This has happened before, and I cannot find any solution.

That is bloatware as well as a POS. Uninstall and forget it.

Issue was resolved by uninstalling Message Center Plus, then running the v3.3.0003 update executable.

I just ran into this issue with Message Center Plus while updating my system.
The present version 3.1.0004.00 yields the exact same error when trying to uninstall this program.
Anyone have an idea what may be the matter?

The current version is 3.3.0004, according to Lenovo.

You can try updating to the latest version above, then uninstalling it.

FWIW, my installation is reported as v3.4.0001 (via Your Uninstaller), but I can find no existence of this higher version either on Lenovo's web site or via search engines.
