I had a question regarding what preinstalled Lenovo software to keep and what to remove. I didn't want to remove anything from my first year using it in case if I ever needed to send it in for warranty. Now that the one year warranty is gone, it seems that the Message Center Plus and Lenovo Solution center keep notifying me about updates, but I don't want to go through with these in case they have adverse effects or have no use in the first place. If it's not too much trouble to ask, can anybody help to determine which programs can be removed without effects to the programs I would like to keep?
Here's the programs I would like to keep
Lenovo Auto Scroll Utility
Lenovo Power Management Driver
On Screen Display
Power Manager
RapidBoot HDD Accelerator
RapidBoot Shield
ThinkPad UltraNav Driver
ThinkVantage Active Protection System
ThinkVantage Communications Utility
ThinkVantage Fingerprint Software
I'm not sure about the following
Lenovo Registration (already registered way back)
Lenovo Solution Center
Lenovo System Update
Lenovo Welcome
VIP Access by VeriSign
Lenovo Solutions for Small Business Installer
And not sure how to remove these, but would like to
Lenovo App Shop
Thanks,

Re: What Lenovo software is necessary?
I like your list with the exception of System Update. I leave it on and remember to check it every 6 mos to a year, just in case something new pops up. Otherwise I think you are safe with the list.

Alright, thanks for the feedback. I'll get started on removing the programs and then continue to run my ThinkPad in peace.
