Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
I'm happy to see some activity in this thread. I had posted much earlier in the thread but haven't found an answer yet.
Artic_squirrel ... I happen to have a keyboard that's identical to the one you identified in the ebay link, except I'm not sure your comments are quite correct.
"sk-8845rc (without touch panel)" <= did you possibly mean touch pad ? or maybe did you mean without a "numeric keypad" ?
"sk-8845 R with touch pad"
The bottom of my keyboard says:
Model No SK-8845RC
Fru P/No 94Y6108
P/N 94Y6108 S/N:{irrelevant}
But note: my keyboard is the RC version and it has a TouchPad ... but it doesn't have a "numeric keypad" (which I understand some model(/s) of the "SK-8845" keyboard have).
So with the above as background ... here's my current situation ("requirement")
... all I want to do is be able to disable the TouchPad (= I only use the Trackpoint / hate the TouchPad because of my normal typing style, it constantly thinks I'm touching it and moving the cursor).
My environment is WIN 7 (64bit). The keyboard works fine with the default drivers that Windows installed when I first installed it ... BUT ... I haven't found a way to disable the TouchPad.
So "bottom line" as of Mar 2019 ... and anybody that's familiar with these keyboards & drivers ... does anyone know of a specific driver they'd try in WIN 7 (64bit) ?
Thanks for any suggestions I can try.

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
yes I meant touchpad. So RC and RC cannot be used to distinguish between touchpad/non-touchpad....
can you try the little software tpmiddle-0.6.exe http://sdx1.net/tools/tpmiddle/ which enables the function of middle click with the middle button of the trackpoint ?
For this to work, you must configure the middle button of the trackpoint as ''scroll'' in the driver. Then you double click on tpmiddle-0.6.exe and it is activated.
I read that this tpmiddle works only when the driver by synaptics is loaded, because it uses the SDK of synaptics, like somebody on reddit explains... SO I fear that when the keyboard comes without the touchpad, then some other driver would load (like HID device) and I would not be able to use tpmiddle.
For disabling the touchpad, I read on reddit that you can disassemble the keyboard, then disconnect a little connection from the touchpad and the motherboard. THere was even a picture.
Can you state the version of the driver you use on w7 ?
for the driver, I think you tried the one by ibmfiles.com and it failed, but was it on w7 ?
when you want to see if there is a newer driver, you can install https://sdi-tool.org/ when the keyboard is plugged. it lists all the newest drivers found and then you download only the driver you like.

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
artic_squirrel ... I've embedded my answers in a copy of your original post below
===========================
yes I meant touchpad. So RC and RC cannot be used to distinguish between touchpad/non-touchpad....
Reply 1: Ok … I guess not. As I said, my keyboard has the "RC" designation and it has 1) TrackPoint 2) Touchpad ... but not 3) Numeric Keypad that some models might possibly have.
can you try the little software tpmiddle-0.6.exe http://sdx1.net/tools/tpmiddle/ which enables the function of middle click with the middle button of the trackpoint ?
For this to work, you must configure the middle button of the trackpoint as ''scroll'' in the driver. Then you double click on tpmiddle-0.6.exe and it is activated.
Reply 2: At this point, I have no way to control the operation of the keyboard (i.e. there's no utility). Maybe I need to clarify that I'm simply using this keyboard on a desktop pc (not a laptop of any kind).
Reply 3: Ok … your tpmiddle requirement is all Greek to me. It's a capability I guess I never used or was aware of.
For disabling the touchpad, I read on reddit that you can disassemble the keyboard, then disconnect a little connection from the touchpad and the motherboard. THere was even a picture.
Reply 4: Great lead … thanks. It sounds like a very simple solution that I'm looking for … especially if there's a picture. When I originally got the keyboard I had been thinking of taking it apart to look, but I didn't because I used a "quick fix" of simply taping a protective cover over the TouchPad to "desensitize" it and I've been living with it like that since day 1.
Can you state the version of the driver you use on w7 ?
Reply 5: Win7's Device Manager says: Keyboards -> HID Keyboard Device -> Microsoft || 6/21/2006 || 6.1.7601.17514 || Microsoft Windows. As I think I said, the keyboard worked immediately as soon as I plugged it in with the standard Win7 keyboard driver that Windows decided to install automatically when it realized it was connected.
for the driver, I think you tried the one by ibmfiles.com and it failed, but was it on w7 ?
Reply 6: I don't understand. Did I possibly mention in my previous / old posts in this thread that I tried a driver from ibmfiles.com? If I did, anything I've previously written would always be related only to Win7 and my Lenovo M90P desktop. Because I have physical difficulties in trying to use a standard keyboard + mouse setup, my "requirement" is strictly to have the TrackPoint (but not the TouchPad).
when you want to see if there is a newer driver, you can install https://sdi-tool.org/ when the keyboard is plugged. it lists all the newest drivers found and then you download only the driver you like.
Reply 7: Sounds like a useful tool, but I'm generally leery of installing these kind of "driver tools". For now I'll pass on doing this, because maybe all I may need to do to solve my problem is simply physically disconnect the TouchPad (your Reddit tip).

Thanks artic_squirrel. I'm just heading away for a few weeks vacation, but for what its worth I'll play with this after I return and update the thread if it works (I expect it will), just in case anyone else might have the same very basic "requirement" as me.

I ordered a second hand 8845, overpriced, one month to wait for delivery.... I hope this purchase was not a blunder

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
i received my keyboard.
here is the copy of the edit from some post below, in order to directly get the good drivers
edit FOR LATEST DRIVERS : even newer version works. the split happens between version 6hgx58ww.exe and 6hgx64ww.exe
6hgx58ww.exe = no tpmiddle, tp is not working at boot, but scrolling is good
6hgx64ww.exe = tpmiddle works, tp not working at boot, but scrolling is bad
edit = I forgot to say that for the 8845 and 8835 from ibm ie with the real synaptics driver, the old drivers do not install automatically
the driver says ''no synaptics devices detected'', so you have to go to the directory created by the installer and then double click InstNT.exe and then it detects the 8845 fine.
so the usual trick of pasting a old driver on a new driver works: install the newest buggy driver like 6hgx64ww.exe, then unzip the non-buggy driver like 6hgx58ww.exe and paste the content in the folder C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP
the link to those drivers are
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... gx58ww.exe
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... gx64ww.exe
original message:
All of the following is for windows 1809. With this windows, the keyboard, trackpoint and touchpad works out of the box, but of course they are seen as the generic mouse and is compatible with MarbleScroll to get the middle click. The trackpoint is hard to press, so I think http://07.net/mouse/ must be considered.
In order to configure the tp, synaptics driver must be installed and there is zero problem with tpmiddle and scrolling with the latest driver.
THe newest drivers are here
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... 0gx38w.exe
changelog is here
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... 0gx38w.txt
other drivers are:
for using the TP4table.dat, the good drivers are here
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... 02us17.exe
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... 02us17.txt
They use the scroll like the Ultranav of the old thinkpads, but of course, the file tp4table must be edited to get explorer working and all.
but those drivers are too old for tpmiddle0.6, so no middle click but good scrolling
Also, I disconnected the touchpad and the trackpoint still works with the synaptics driver. So there is zero issue with disconnecting the touchpad.
For hotkeys: the volume keys and the sleep work out of the box. the rest do not work, which does not matter. THe important keys are the volume and sleep.

IBM SK-8845CR with a Pointing stick and without touch TrackPad
FRU P/N: 46W6672
OS: Windows 10 x64
Connected to: Lenovo EDGE 14 Laptop (latest Lenovo Companion updates)
Pointing stick is working without any additional driver installation.
The issue:
FN key (aswell as Access IBM key) doesn't respond. All other keys works as expected.
In Device Manager:
HID Keyboard Device, Driver - Microsoft 21.06.2006 - 10.0.14393.206
HID\VID_04B3&PID_301E&MI_00
I've tried to install manually "the *latest* Lenovo SK-8845 specific driver" from this http://ibmfiles.com/ibmfiles/peripheral ... rivers.zip but had no luck.
Any ideas how to make FN key to work?
Thanks.
For this model, ie HID\VID_04B3&PID_301E&MI_00 (other model with synaptic driver is HID\VID_06CB&PID_0009&MI_01
for trackpoint and HID\VID_06CB&PID_0009&MI_00 for touchpad) there is only one ''MICE HID'' detected and the driver of the keyboard sk-8855 + UNAV from here work well

here are the links
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... nt_107.exe
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... nt_108.exe

from here
https://support.lenovo.com/fr/en/solutions/migr-73183
the direction is
that works well [do not forget to install the keyboard under '''keyboard'' nor under ''mouse''], but those are not a synaptic drive, so tpmiddle does not work, just like the case of sk-8855. Marblescroll does not work either, because the scrolling is the default scrolling of the old thinkpad [UNLIKE the sk-8855].1. Download and install the 1.07 driver from: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail. ... MIGR-73235
2. Plug the keyboard in. At this point the keyboard functions but neither the trackpoint nor the touchpad work.
3. Click Start, Devices & Printers.
4. Under devices, choose "IBM USB Keyboard with UltraNav" (You won't see this unless you've installed the 1.07 driver).
5. Click the Hardware tab and find the 1st instance of "Synaptics Composit USB HID device"
6. Click Change Settings, select Driver tab and select Update Driver.
7. Click "Browse my computer for driver"
8. Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
9. Select "USB Input Device", then Next, Close, Close.
10. Your trackpoint should work now. Repeat steps 5-9 on the 2nd instance of "Synaptics Composit USB HID device" to get the touchpad working as well.
For the middle click, perhaps the ''A poor AutoHotKey-based substitute'' from here https://sdx1.net/tools/tpmiddle/ could work.
I think to change the way scroll works, like to get the marblescroll working, it is mandatory to look at registry keys.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lenovo\TrackPoint\Settings]
"EnableTrackPoint"=dword:00000001
"UsePointingDevice"=dword:00000001
"Sensitivity"=dword:00000004
"EnablePress"=dword:00000000
"ButtonType"=dword:00000001
"ScrollType"=dword:00000000
"ZoomType"=dword:00000001
"Width"=dword:000000a0
"Height"=dword:00000078
"EnableDrag"=dword:00000000
"EnableRelease"=dword:00000000
"PressType"=dword:00000000

"Device"=dword:00000001
"Tip"=dword:00000000
"UseBoth"=dword:00000001
"DeviceExist"=dword:00000000
and change the scroll type. to get back to mouse wheel and use marblescroll [and have the equivalent behavior of the sk-8855]....
however, without these drivers, the device is the usual Microsoft mouse and marblescroll works well. To adjust the sensitivity, registry must be changed with http://07.net/mouse/ [and have the equivalent behavior of the sk-8855]....

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
I have a little bug: at start up of windows, the trackpoint is in a some mode that is ''only scrolling'' or equivalent. The way to get out of this is to touch the touchpad, then the trackpoint is in the correct mode.

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
So far, I like the keyboard. My only wish would be to have this one in NMB variant in order to have softer keys, instead of keys hard to press. I wish it had a power button too, but that never existed.
Also, more generally, I do not understand what scroll lock does or does not. Is 5t not the same as numlock on the other keyboards?

Hi artic_squirrel, I'm getting around to trying your suggestion for disabling the Trackpad function on my keyboard, by simply removing the internal cable that attaches the TrackPad to the main keyboard hardwareartic_squirrel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 7:14 amhere is the messages about removing the internal cable

I haven't tried to load pictures into these forums yet, but I think the link below should show you a picture of the connector I need to disconnect. I've never seen one like this before and it's not clear to me how I should do it without breaking something.
1. grab it at both short edges and pull it directly up?
2. grab it at both short edges and pull it horizontally straight back?
3. do I need a special tool?

Thanks for suggestions you might have.
Update: Right after I posted this, I found my own answer (ain't it always the way). With everything visible, I realized I could see the identifications written on the cable, looked it up and found that it's strictly a flat ribbon cable with plated contacts on each end of the ribbon. So obviously all I should need to do is pull the "ribbon" directly out of the connector that's actually mounted on the board. Good thing I didn't try to yank the whole connector off of the pcb board .

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
Just an Update to the Update I added at the end of my previous post.
" Update: Right after I posted this, I found my own answer (ain't it always the way). There's nothing critical to anybody that's following the main discussion in this thread, but it is kind of humorous.
I mentioned that I found a way to disconnect what I thought was the cable that connected the TrackPad function to my SK-8845 keyboard. All I did was pull the ribbon cable out of the connector (shown in the picture I posted). It slipped out simply and easily / no force needed. Only problem is that once I disconnected that cable, the Trackpoint + it's Left and Right selection buttons no longer worked. I now had a keyboard that required some kind of pointing device to work ... so now I had to use a Mouse.
Problem: Even though the flat ribbon cable slipped easily out of the connector, it doesn't slip easily/smoothly back into the same connector ... not sure why ... I tried a couple of times and now some of the the flat silver contact points at the end of the flat ribbon are mushed / frayed and I can't fully re-insert it. Oh well ... I now I have a defunct SK-8845 keyboard and I'm in the process of looking to get an SK-8835 this time as a replacement for my purposes. I understand that the SK-8835 is a "full sized" equivalent to the SK-8845, where "full sized" simply means it also has a numeric keypad which the SK-8845 doesn't have.
Live and learn. At least I've found a site in China that seems to have an SK-8835 at a reasonable price I'm considering.
PS: in previous references in this thread, artic_squirrel had suggested I look at references and a picture that he had noted re how to disconnect the TrackPad function by simply disconnecting a cable. I had looked at those and noticed they were actually related to an SK-8835 keyboard ... not my SK8845 keyboard. I'm not blaming artic_squirrel in any way because I realized the picture didn't match my keyboard, but I had decided on what seemed like the appropriate cable for me to disconnect. If I get an SK-8835 as the replacement for my SK-8845, then the picture that artic_squirrel had suggested to me, should match what I hope to have in a few weeks.
" Update: Right after I posted this, I found my own answer (ain't it always the way). With everything visible, I realized I could see the identifications written on the cable, looked it up and found that it's strictly a flat ribbon cable with plated contacts on each end of the ribbon. So obviously all I should need to do is pull the "ribbon" directly out of the connector that's actually mounted on the board. Good thing I didn't try to yank the whole connector off of the pcb board "

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
There is a nasty bug with the sk-8845 with PID HID\VID_06CB&PID_0009&MI_00, with scrolling with the ''normal scroll'' by synaptics (not the the scroll by generic drivers from microsoft), meaning with the sk-8845 which takes the synaptics drivers. The bug is that the super fast scrolling is in a loop on notepad.exe and other softwares. There is no loop on explorer.exe nor on firefox.exe
This happens with driver version 18.0.7.119 and 17.xx and 16.xx.
Other bugs are
-no active trackpoint at boot
-trackpoint scrolling goes crazy in firefox and explorer and continues scrolling, even when the finger is no longer on the tp, but the thimb is still on the middle button...
The bug does not happens with universal version 15.1.14.0, but this version:
-is too old for tpmiddle
-has slow scrolling in notepad.exe, and I think everywhere else
However, the trick to have
-tpmiddle
-and no buggy scrolling
is to first install whatever buggy driver, ie version 18.0.7.119 and 17.xx and 16.xx., then to drop the content of the driver 15.1.14.0 in the folder C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP
This way tpmiddle works, we get zero bug, like trackpoint inactive after boot, but we do get slow scrolling in notepad.exe
Since the non-buggy driver is only available through SDI
\DP_Touchpad_Synaptics_19032\Synaptics\Allx86\USB\15.1.14.0\synhid.inf
but I uploaded here
https://go4up.com/dl/eb496788075f3a/15.1.14.0.7z
==============================================================
edit: actually, there is no need for this generic driver. the driver from the lenovo website are fine. they are version
15.3.39.1 -
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... gx53ww.exe
15.3.34.0
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... gx50ww.exe
of course, there is still no tpmiddle working for those....
==============================================================
edit FOR LATEST DRIVERS : even newer version works. the split happens between version 6hgx58ww.exe and 6hgx64ww.exe
6hgx58ww.exe = no tpmiddle, tp is not working at boot, but scrolling is good
6hgx64ww.exe = tpmiddle works, tp not working at boot, but scrolling is bad
edit=I forgot to say that for the 8845 and 8835 from ibm ie with the real synaptics driver, the old drivers do not install automatically
the driver says ''no synaptics devices detected'', so you have to go to the directory created by the installer and then double click InstNT.exe and then it detects the 8845 fine.
so the usual trick of pasting a old driver on a new driver works: install the newest buggy driver like 6hgx64ww.exe, then unzip the non-buggy driver like 6hgx58ww.exe and paste the content in the folder C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP
the link to those drivers are
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... gx58ww.exe
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... gx64ww.exe
The other version of the sk-8845, ie with PID HID\VID_04B3&PID_301E&MI_00 uses the official drivers for the sk-8855, and like for the sk-8855, tpmiddle does not work, but contrary tot he sk-8855, we get the real thinkpad scrolling with even the icon.

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
So there are two kinds of sk8845 with touchpad
first kind is the one with buggy synaptic driver [fast scrolling a very long text in notepad++.exe is in a loop] is HID\VID_06CB&PID_0009&MI_01 for trackpoint and HID\VID_06CB&PID_0009&MI_00 for touchpad)
here is a picture
for this one you remove the the little white ribbon which goes at the bottom of the controlling chip (at the top)
that picture is the one of the other kind, but the ribbons are the same position (they are not switchable, meaning the keyboard of one kind of sk8845 cannot be plugged into the keyboard of the other kind of sk8845)
then the other kind is HID\VID_04B3&PID_301E&MI_00 which uses the official lenovo driver for the sk8855?
for this one, I did not try to disable the touchpad, but I guess it is still the white ribbon that must be removed.

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
Thanks artic_squirrel. I'm kicking myself now for being so impatient and not waiting for a possible answer from you (haste makes waste).
I didn't realize you had so much detail available. I now see that my SK-8845 that I ended up breaking, is like the one that you refer to as "the other kind is HID\VID_04B3&PID_301E&MI_00 which uses the official lenovo driver for the sk8855?"
If instead of pulling the main wide ribbon cable at the "main control chip" like I did, I had pulled the narrower ribbon cable with the blue end to it's right, my life would probably have been wonderful. Anyway, I'll play with trying to reinsert the wide ribbon cable into it's original connector but don't expect I'll have much luck.(During initial assembly in the factory it can't imagine it would be a manual process). If I'm lucky, I'll be able to prove that pulling the blue cable just to it's right is likely what I should have done :oops

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
yes there are brown little things to keep the white ribbon attached and with a tiny flat screwdriver, you unplugged them bit by bit, one time of the left, then the one on the right, then the one of the left until they are loose, then the ribbon goes out.
To put back the ribbon, you must push it to the end of its receiver and plug back the 2 little brown things.

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
for the difference in keys, I prefer the keyboard which uses the lenovo driver. It is between a chicony(or alps) and NMB, whereas the keyboard which uses the buggy driver by synaptics is clearly a chicony (or alps).
Plus the trackpoint buttons are higher from the base of the keyboard, so they feel better. Also the middle trackpoint button is less mushy.
And of course, with the lenovo driver there is the real scrolling, with the little icon and all.

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
I really appreciate both your posts artic_squirrel. I'm hoping I've located a seller in China that has a replacement for my SK-8845 RC / FRU PN: 94Y6108 that I can get, but before I place an order I'll see if I can reinsert the ribbon cable.
I'll be focusing on your detail about the 2 "little brown things" on the outside edges of the connector. Right now it seems like the right edge of the cable is the one that's not going in easily and the ribbon's contacts plates are getting "kind of mushed up". This makes sense if the "little brown thing" is pinching too tightly and I need to help it by manually open it a bit so it will go in.

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
there are several keywords for the keyboard for instance 40k9400 and sometimes, those come with a LCD. this one would my kind with the synaptics driver
the keyboard by the chinese with sk-8845 in the title should be like the one you have right now. Some of those do not even have a touchpad and are priced around 40 USD.

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
currently there is ONE sk-8835, and as usual it is way overpriced for what it is
if you want, you can buy directly to the chinese by searching:
sk-8835 site:taobao.com
in google, then use a website like superbuy.com to order suchan item, then the people at superbuy will receive the item, then they will ship it worldwide, for a price around 30 USD

2 great suggestions. I just found out that the China seller I thought might have a replacement SK-8845 for me, doesn't have one, so I'll need to keep looking for something. Thanks again.

Yes ... rightly or wrongly in terms of my personal "Financial Security", I've already bitten the bullet and have been using AliExpress as my "go to" site for buying things from "Chinese sellers" for a couple of years now = I've been using one of my real credit cards to pay. So this wouldn't be my first purchase transaction on AliExpress, but I haven't been burned yet. (Hopefully not "famous last words").
Thanks for clarifying a distinction between "Chinese Sellers" on Ebay vs AliExpress that I hadn't realized till now.

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
on the sk-8845 with synaptics driver, I notice that the scrolling on unfocused windows does not work, whereas it works for the real KB on thinkpads. On windows 10, there is an option to scroll on an unfocused window, but it changes nothing for the external KB.
Oddly enough, the scrolling on unfocused window works well with the touchpad....

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
currently I am using the 8845 which uses the synaptics driver and I set the scroll with the default scroll, ie the generic scroll for mouses by microsoft. instead of marblescroll, I use W10Wheel.NET-2.7 https://github.com/ykon/w10wheel.net/releases to get the middle click and a nice scroll.
Of course with this scroll, there is no scroll on some window like ''devicemanager'', but the scroll on firefox is nicer.

Thanks.
For this model, ie HID\VID_04B3&PID_301E&MI_00 (other model with synaptic driver is HID\VID_06CB&PID_0009&MI_01
for trackpoint and HID\VID_06CB&PID_0009&MI_00 for touchpad) there is only one ''MICE HID'' detected and the driver of the keyboard sk-8855 + UNAV from here work well
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Windows-8- ... rue#M11830
here are the links
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... nt_107.exe
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... nt_108.exe
up to https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... nt_110.exe
the direction isthat works well [do not forget to install the keyboard under '''keyboard'' nor under ''mouse''], but those are not a synaptic drive, so tpmiddle does not work, just like the case of sk-8855.
"EnableTrackPoint"=dword:00000001
"UsePointingDevice"=dword:00000001
"Sensitivity"=dword:00000004
"EnablePress"=dword:00000000
"ButtonType"=dword:00000001

"Device"=dword:00000001
"Tip"=dword:00000000
"UseBoth"=dword:00000001
"DeviceExist"=dword:00000000
and change the scroll type. to get back to mouse wheel and use marblescroll [and have the equivalent behavior of the sk-8855]....
however, without these drivers, the device is the usual Microsoft mouse and marblescroll works well. To adjust the sensitivity, registry must be changed with http://07.net/mouse/ [and have the equivalent behavior of the sk-8855]....
there is driver version 1.12 also,
thinkpad_usb_keyboard_with_trackpoint_112.exe
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... nt_112.exe
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... nt_112.txt
there is no difference from version 1.10 for my sk-8855....

i see now the difference between version 1.10 and 1.12 of the driver for the sk-8855: on w10 with version 1.10, there is a lag of the multimedia keys, and it is corrected in version 1.12

Re: UltraNav SK-8845 Windows 8 drivers?
Hi artic_squirrel,
ever since I mistakenly destroyed my old SK-8845CR early this year ... that was working acceptably for my keyboard needs with a WIN7 Lenovo ThinkCenter desktop ... I've been struggling with a cheap Lenovo USB, 6 row, chicklet keyboard that at least gives me a Trackpoint that I simply can't live without.
I've finally decided that I'm going to spend big bucks ... close to $200 Canadian ... to buy a new one. I know you have some pretty specific keyboard functions that I don't have, so I'm asking my question from a very basic keyboard functionality basis.
Since it was working acceptably for me on my WIN7 Desktop (earlier this year until I destroyed it) ... I expect a new one will continue to work acceptably for my needs. However, I'm also thinking of upgrading to a WIN10 environment running on some form of Lenovo machine with a USB port (it might be a Desktop or a Laptop, I haven't decided yet). I also see that you've been dabbling with getting the keyboard working acceptably for your needs on WIN10. I'd appreciate your answer to my question, before I actually bite the bullet and buy a new keyboard.
Question: do you have any thoughts about whether I could expect the SK-8845CR to also work on a "plug and play" basis for my "basic" Trackpoint + Keyboard functions on WIN10?
Thanks. John

Thanks. John
