PS/2 port couldn't work in docking station

Hi! I just bought a docking station for my Thinkpad T23. However, when I plugged in my PS/2 mouse on the PS/2 port it wouldn't work. Is there anyway to enable it to work?

Will the cause be bad ps2 port?

make sure you put the mouse in to the correct port, which is the green one. The purple port is for the keyboard. I know it should be the same because they're both PS/2 ports, but I plugged my keyboard into the green one and it didn't work but it worked when i plugged it into the purple. So give it a try.
