Cluster of dead pixels on A31P

Hi,

I noticed yesterday a cluster of dead (black) pixels on my A31P. It's a nearly round spot, approx. 0.8mm in diameter, so it clearly has to be more than one pixel. I had the laptop in the carrying bag the whole weekend and didn't use it, how can this happen?

I still have warranty until september this year, will IBM cover this? How long does it take approx. until I have the laptop back?

Thanks,
Christian

If I remember correctly, IBM will usually replace the LCD if there are 8 or more bad pixels.

IBM wrnty is blazing fast. You're looking at a few days.

Find out everything for sure by calling them @ 1-800-IBM-SERV- it will only take a few minutes..

Its... gone! One day it was there, a black spot, looking like described above, and the other day it was just gone! Yes, I'm sure it wasn't dirt on the screen. Maybe between backlight and screen? But how?

Puzzled,
Christian

PS But thanks for your answer concerning the support.
