High Resolution Thinkpads MT / Models with native 2560x1600: Do they exist?

Hello Forum Members: I'd like to find a Thinkpad with graphics that will output 2560x1600 to an external monitor. I don't need that high resolution for the Thinkpad display, only for signal output to an external monitor as I'm somewhat vision impaired. Also, while I do work on laptops when mobile, I often use them in an office setting with larger monitors, especially for CADD, Photo, and reading where I'd like to see letters and characters larger without jagged edges. My T410 with an i5 and 8GB has sufficient processing power for me, however that machine is far short on resolution for me and I Would like to go to 2560x1600 so that when enlarged on an external monitor I won't be just blowing up and apart lower res pixel density.

Can you suggest some T series or W series machines which can output 2560x1600 to an external monitor and are known to do so without issues?

Thank you for your help.

Michael

I believe your T410 should be able to do so without issues. Did you try?

The first T series that I know of that reliably can output 2560x1600 is T61, via the Dual Link DVI-D port on the docks. With T60 the results were inconclusive. I think the T60p GPU can do 2560x1600, but the regular T60 GPUs may not.
