Emulating browser forward/back and middile mouse in Firefox?

Well, I just got my new T43 yesterday, but I can't get a few features of it to work in Firefox.
Browser back/forward doesn't do anything (I'm hoping I can just change something to make it work)
Then there comes middile clicking, in Firefox, if I middile click a tab or link, I can open a new tab, or close one. However, I just get into scrolling mode (Using the Trackpoint)
Anyone know what I can do to make these features work?

Do you use the Logitech MX1000 mouse for that?
If yes, here is what you should do.
In the logitech setup utility, you can address keyspresses to the FORWARD and BACK buttons.
Set the Forward button to ALT+RIGHT and the back button to ALT+LEFT. Problem solved

Nope, standard trackball thats over 8 years in age...
But I have found a fix for middile clicking. I have the other two mouse buttons emulate middile click.
Now is there a quick fix to make Firefox reconize my forward/back buttons on my T43?

got a setup util for that trackball? If so, set it up for the same configuration as the MX1000. If possible of course.

Have you tried updating or reinstall the drivers or something? Because on my T43, I can scroll using the trackpoint and the browser buttons work as well...
