HELP - connect landline phone to port replicator.

I need some help. I currently use a T500 in a port replicator that has a connection for my landline telephone [it plugs directly into the replicator]. I use the old version of HyperTerminal that came with Windows 98, but it works just fine with Windows 7 Pro 64. The T500 has shown signs of giving up the ghost; I suspect too much time in the replicator with excessive heat. I have another replicator for my traveling T420s, but it does not have a way to plug in my landline phone cord.
My need is for HyperTerminal to dial from my internal phone book in the T420s via the landline. How do I physically connect the phone line so that the T420s modem will dial the phone on the landline?

I don't think the T420s has a modem.

In which case, a dial-up modem connected to a USB port (either on the port replicator or the laptop itself) is the best solution.

Lenovo even offers one such modem with their own branding, FRU 43R1814.

Let's hope it's not a Winmodem.

USB Modem may be viable but full duplex and working with Win7 64bit may be hard to find. I'll check on the Lenovo suggested. Thanks to all.
