Docking Station PCI Slot

Hi! I would like to know what kind of PCI card can be installed in the docking station PCI slot? Can I stuff in a graphic card...and use to play games? Any other recommendation?

I believe any 1/2 height pci card will work.

If I installed a PCI graphic card, will be usable by disable the onboard graphic and use the PCI graphic card for display on my thinkpad?

It would only work with an external display, it will have no effect on the Thinkpad's internal display.

You can use any PCI "low profile", half size card. SCSI adapters, Media adapters, modems, networking (FDDI, Gig over copper, etc.), multi-head video cards, serial ports, firewire ports, etc.

What do you mean by PCI "low profile"? Isn't the PCI is all standard size?

Not all PCI cards will fit into the slot in the docking station. If you read the dock manual you will see it referred the same way. It just means that anything like a PCI add-on daughter card won't fit.

I've found that most modern PCI graphics card fit just fine in the dock.
