4G/LTE

#1 Post by karotlopj » Fri Jun 30, 2017 10:34 am

Is it possible to use 4G/LTE with ThinkPads which can take SIMs and were produced before 4G/LTE was developed?

I don't know if 4G/LTE requires specific hardware or would a software upgrade be sufficient should one be available...

4G requires newer hardware. The best 4G setup is to install 4G sim into a smart phone and use as a WIFI hotspot.

A cheap chinese phone can be purchased for under $100 USD.
