I have 2 IBM ThinkPad Ultra/Nav Keyboards SK-8835 and use them on my desktops. One of them the number 2 started not working and then now the entire left side (Caps Lock,Tab, Q and so on don't work. I tried plugging it into my other desktops and nothing. It is a USB plug type and my desktops are all IBM and Lenovo, so all original hardware. My other one is still fine. I want to get it fixed since I don't think Lenovo continued to make the ThinkPad keyboard anymore and these will be probably hard to find now. (Last one I owned was the Lenovo one with ThinkPad in corner but no NUM on side like mine.)

Never mind I fixed it. The ribbon cable under the keyboard was somewhat pulled out. Don't know how it did that, maybe from being moved around and vibrations over time. If anyone has this problem on these keyboards check this post. I had some ThinkPads like my G40 where the keys were going out and just bought a replacement keyboard and thought this was the case with this one. If anyone wants to answer for my G40 keyboard keys going out, can do it on here.
