Machine Going In For Warranty Service

My T42 is going into the IBM EZ Serv Depot for warranty service on Thursday morning. When I move or tilt or jar the machine, the screen (both of them, since I'm running dual-head on the VGA-out port) will turn off (no signal, not just black) and the computer stalls. I hesitate to say it "shuts down," because the Wireless LED remains lit and the fans/HDD keep spinning. If I hold down the power button for 5 seconds, then it properly shuts down.

Is there anything I should do to the physical hardware or the software/files before I send it in for service? After a quick Google search, I found several comments that IBM Service can be finicky.

TIA,
Ben

If you have confidential data on the hard disk, you can remove the drive from the ThinkPad before sending the machine in.
