netws64.sys error! help!!
I’m posting my message here because I do not think it is model specific. I do have an X201 and it has an Intel WIFI card and started getting spontaneous bluescreens with error message that is is related to netws64.sys. Googling this shows its not specific to the X201 or other Thinkpads but is specific to Intel. Here is a snapshot of my X201’s device manager. Have you experienced the same error and how to resolve? I’m running the latest drivers from Lenovo and Intel does allow install of its own drivers suggesting to use the laptop manufacturer’s.

The card is an Intel Centrino N6250 AGN.

Uh, where exactly is the image? Did you forget to link it?
I did not experience a BSoD with the same card that you have, though it is in a Celsius H710 with Windows XP Professional x64. More importantly, what operating system do you have running on your X201? That would be a good starting point.OldFong_v2.0 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 5:41 pmHave you experienced the same error and how to resolve? Intel does not allow the installation of their own drivers? Is there such a software block that would prevent you from doing that?

Re: netws64.sys error! help!!
I was able to install both Intel drivers and then later "updated" to the Lenovo ones (although they were the same). I still experienced the same error once. I tought I read someownere that the 6250 AGN does not perform well when using 5ghZ WIFI. Is tht correct? I since switched to the 2.4 ghZ band and so far seems OK.
Re: netws64.sys error! help!!
Strange, I did not expect them to be the same.
It looks like that is the case, since the 4965AGN appears to be suffering from the same issue too. I don't have a clue on why is that so, though.

Re: netws64.sys error! help!!
Is it specific to any brand of router? Am using a Netgear R7000. This started about 2 years ago but I have altered between connecting with 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz unknowingly. So the problem may have pre-existed before that as I didnt really use 5Ghz previously. Which router are you using? Is this specific to Netgear?
Re: netws64.sys error! help!!
It should not be, I had never gotten a BSoD with my 6250AGN in my Celsius H710.
I believe that I have jumped from a laptop-purposed-as-a-router (an Atheros AR9220 acting as the access point) to a D-Link DIR-868L, and I have not noticed any sort of strange activity while being connected to a 5GHz-only access point. In any case, I highly doubt that this issue is related to the router.
Still, what is your operating system that you are using? I have a feeling that it may be the problem.

Re: netws64.sys error! help!!
I'm using W7 64bit.
Re: netws64.sys error! help!!
Well, it looks like there isn't much that I can do.
There is one thing that I can tell from Intel's and Lenovo's drivers, though. They are not the same, at least that is what I found out when I checked the driver version and date.
It also appears to me that Intel has the latest driver available as usual, not surprisingly.
