Looking for d3qarmst.pdf
Looking for d3qarmst.pdf
Helo all!
I am looking for installation guide for 62P4552 (62P4553, 62P4554). I have one (finally - original) -but there are no screws to fasten the HDD and there is latch I have no idea what to do with it.
User's guide for the ThinkPad 2nd Hard Disk Drive Adapter for Ultrabay Slim:
d3qarmst.pdf size 1,552,141 bytes
(https://web.archive.org/web/20051126224 ... MIGR-46465)
Anyone has it?
Thanks.
Saso

Re: Looking for d3qarmst.pdf
You pop up the little latch up with your finger, put the drive in(I believe label side up), then push the drive forward until it seats properly with the connector, then push the latch back down. See...no manual needed.

Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.
The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Re: Looking for d3qarmst.pdf
Thank you!
This is it. Now it looks like the HDD is few milimiters (1/4 inch I would guess) shorter so there is a gap between the latch and the HDD itself. So I will have to put something in between.
I installed MHV2120AT 120GB PATA drive. Now I have another problem. I will start a new thread.

And here is the photo of the problem I have so you know what I wanted the manual (I thought I was missing a piece) and it looks like HDD is shorter. That plastic latch should cover the disk.

Thanks.

Stick a small piece of rubber or foam in there and I wouldn't worry about it. The connector/friction from rubber inserts generally do a good job keeping the drive in place.
