What is Lenovo's policy on extending the warranty beyond the original term? How much does it cost, and does it matter if the owner changed and can not show any corporate affiliation?

(I'm interested in X series, if the policy depends on it. I couldn't quite find anything about this on IBM.com)

For the record, I didn't post this question into "General hardware", since this isn't about hardware. Someone moved it here without notice.

according to lenovo, nothing is changing so the warranty can be extended and enhanced..
there is a support page for your particular thinkpad, here:
