Working WWAN cards

#1 Post by karotlopj » Wed Jun 02, 2021 2:13 pm

So does anyone have an (older) ThinkPad with a working WWAN card?

I get the idea with my T420 that it is locked on the Verizon network, but don't know how to confirm.

If this is the case, since Verizon don't exist in the UK, then the T420 should not have been sold since it's partly unusable.

Has anyone every come across any way of issuing AT commands at a WWAN card? Apparently that can reveal whether a modem is locked.

Put in any other unlocked WWAN-card after you have removed the wifi-whitelist.

Where do I find the wifi-whitelist? And how can I tell if another WWAN card is unlocked or not?
