IBM Convertible - replace LCD?

#1 Post by solidpro » Wed Apr 20, 2022 1:19 pm

Hi

I know this is 'pre thinkpad' but I felt this was likely the best place to put a query. I've got what I think is a Mk2 IBM convertible in pretty good condition, but the LCD has been damaged - like the fluid has leaked around the screen.

It seems the MK3 screen is the one to own but does anyone know if they're interchangable across the Mk1/2/3?

One other thing - is the main or BIOS battery known to leak?

Thanks

Alex
