T480 also tehnically have 2 NVMe slot, one in dedicated carrier, one is in WWAN slot, but there's a catch, you can only use specific SSD on this slot, first because the limited M.2 2242 size, second is the M.2 B key, and the third (but not big of a problem) is the limited PCIe 3.0 x2 bandwidth. it's very hard to find NVMe drive with such keying and size combination. some drive that supported are Toshiba RC100/300/BG3, and Kingspec or other chinese rebrand of it. all the drive mentioned is already validated by me running T480 with latest BIOS firmware and work prefectly.
T530 AKA The BonkPad Enchanced: i7-3720QM, 8GB dual Channel RAM, 512GB SSD (Windows 10) + 256GB SSD (Linux Mint XFCE) via UltraBay, Nvidia Quadro NVS 5400M.[/color][/b]
Past device: X61T | X230 | | L530 | T420 | W520 | RIP my lovely T400 AKA The original BonkPad

That puts the T480s in the same boat then.
