I'm using a T43 laptop, the cover seems cant be closed tightly, and there's about 2mm space which makes my loptop felt so loose when the cover is closed.
One of my friends bought a T43 yesterday. When he first time closed the cover during purchasing,it seems to be tightly, but today he told me the cover was loose now.
it's so weird, anyone who knows how to deal with this problem?

It seems to be a common issue, mine are that way and I'm pretty sure other folks on here have noted the same thing. No idea why they're that way.

Supposed to be enough of a gap to slip a business card in between the lid and keyboard, by design.

My T40 is like that. In the past two years it hasn't caused any problems. I wouldn't worry!

The gap is to reduce stress on the structure itself and to prevent the scratching of the screen by the keyboard. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Something like Radtech's ScreensavRz might help. It's a cloth that you lay on your keyboard to protect the LCD when the notebook is closed. Its thicker then a business card and compresses so it should help give the thinkpad a tigher seal without scraching the screen.
Radtech also has clear little dots made for the iBook, there actually designed to get ride of the gap. However I was looking at my T43 and because the sides of the LCD display aren't flat on all sides, it doesn't seem like it would work well.
