So, what's up with the 7k100s?

Are either the hitachi or Seagate shipping yet and does anyone have either? Have any reviews been posted anywhere?
Also, are there 7k80s out there as well? I currently have a 5k80 in my T43 and wouldn't mind upgrading to either the 80 or 100GB 7200 unit.

There's no 7K80, but there's an 80GB version of the 7K100...

For raw performance, 7K100 80 GB is ~8 % faster than 7K60.
The 7K100 100 GB is ~21 % faster than the 7K60.

I'd call the 100 GB version the next generation drive, while the 80 GB version is generationally more similar to 7K60.

Unfortunately all they stock are the non-100 GB units. I have sent an email to HGST, and they replied that it should be available in the beginning of october.

I just found an even better review of the 7K100, comparing it to the Seagate 7200.1:
