Software alternative to RecordNow?

Just wanted to gauge opinions on the RecordNow burning software that ships with Thinkpads... how do people rate it and (if not highly rated) what are some recommended alternatives?
I'm trying out Nero, which seems a better overall suite for CD and DVD burning. Tried and gave up with Roxio's stuff.

Nero all the way. I was able to slipstream a Windows XP Pro CD with Nero. I was unsuccessful trying this with RecordNow! and Roxio.

I prefer the RecordNow. Much less bloated than many other software out there...

Haven't tried Nero - but there's a lot of people who love it. I use Roxio.

I've used Nero for a long time. Personally I think it's losing it's touch and turning into a full flege Roxio product. it used to be known for it's features and hands down stability. The stability is no longer there, but the features are. Nero can do everything so people just stick with it.
Roxio is also nice, seems like you hate roxio because you love nero and hate nero because you like roxio. Reminds me of chevy vs ford and Intel vs AMD fans.
CDBurnerXP is nice. I just started using it. The user interface is horrible, and being new everything is still confusing but I'm actually noticing better performance and more reliability - other users on another message board seem to be having the same results. I think in time with some more minor changes to the user interface, it will be the next "Nero" (old school Nero). And everyone will be recomending this product. It's also nice that it really is free, no spyware or ads and nothing is crippled on it (there not even a Pro version).
DeepBurner is another free alternative. When I had problems on an old computer DeepBurner installed and worked great. It's a lot easier then CDBurnerXP but has less features (crippled down a bit so you'll upgrade to their Pro version). Still its a great product, I'd recomend it over Nero if you just want a good reliabile CD/DVD burner without the useless extras.
Nero and Roxio are now full fledge Suites. CDBurnerXP and DeepBurner are true stand alone CD/DVD burners. I like them both, I can't decide which I'll continue to use though.

http://www.rsj.de I have used the OS/2 version of RSJ's CDWriter. It works quite well on my eComStation computer. Has anyone used the Windows version?

In addition to Nero, I use DVDFab platinum, UltraISO, CopyToDVD/CopyToCD, CloneDVD/CloneCD
all have benefits not contained in Nero alone
for one example, CopyToDVD installs a context sensitive menu in Explorer where I can simply click on a single file to burn to CD or I can add to a 'Depot' which is a temporary storage area while I decide which files to burn and I can take hours or weeks to decide before I just open the Depot and burn the files or delete some or all
Nero has no such feature
