how do i use prime95 for stability testing?

#1 Post by eigh » Thu Aug 18, 2005 1:54 pm

ive heard you guys use it to see if your voltages are too low in the chc control panel. so far ive just used voltage settings that ive seen other users use, now id like to try to find my own (if i can get any more aggressive with my voltages).

ive installed prim95, but i dont see/understand how to use it for stability testing.

help :(

Every voltage you select can you test by Prime95, if there is any leak of bits which can cause hard calculating (calculations which maximally stress cpu) and so make the results useless.

In practice when you will be playing demanding game it will give you message that it has too close or just collapse.

So by choosing in Prime95 "Options", "Torture Test" you can stress your cpu to maximum in order to find a mistake. You should be running each test at least 2 hours to guarantee the stability of cpu on selected voltage.
