RAM Performance?
On a T42 notebook with DDR RAM, do you get better performance if both slots are the same size? (2x512mb)? I was ordering a thinkpad with the min of 256mb, then I was going to add 1-gig chip. But I wanted to know if there would be better performance with 2-512mb chips.

Suppose you use an application which is a big ram consumer, it'll employ your HDD as virtual mem if it's not satisfied. And you know the difference between HDD & ram speed...
