Banias vs. Dothan?

#1 Post by dc81 » Mon Sep 26, 2005 11:15 am

What are the performance differences between Pentium M Banias vs. Pentium M Dothan? What I can tell they both have a FSB of 400mhz. The only difference I see is that the Banias has 1mb cache vs. dothan which has 2mb cache.

The reason I want to know is I want to know what the performance difference between a T41p(1.7ghz) Banias and a T42p(1.8ghz) Dothan. Since both of them are still in "Tabook.pdf", they are both still available through IBM (Lenovo), right?...

I assume the T41p should be less expensive than the T42p.

I got a decent boost from a 1.4GHz Banias to a 1.8Ghz Dothan, but I don't think you will see much boost from a 1.7Ghz box. ... JD Hurst
