HELP - NTFS vs FAT, system file restore

I originally allocated about 10GB+ for the system file restore (which I believe was part of the FAT). I want to be able to "add" those 10GB to the NTFS portion of system.
How do I do that? I am running out of hard drive space .. is there any way to recover this? Do I need to change my system bios? Do I have to reboot windows onto my computer? If I do this, will it wipe everything on my current C: drive?
Alas, when I ordered my R40, I did not request the windows boot disk within the first couple of months, so it is my understanding I can no longer receive these discs, even though I purchased the software (when I purchased the hardware).
Your thoughts on any of these matters would be greatly appreciated.
