Wireless card (Intel) not recognized by Access Connections

#1 Post by asiafish » Wed Nov 09, 2005 9:20 pm

Hello,

I just moved my hard drive from a T42p (IBM Ahteros WiFi) to an X32 (Intell 2200). Everything works great, including the wifi card if I allow Windows to control it, however I am unable to get either Access Connections, or the FN-F5 keyboard command to address the wifi card.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Andrew

This thing now needs a FAQ or a Sticky.

As noted many times before in this forum:
Uninstall AC
Restart
Uninstall NIC
Don't restart
Install NIC
Restart
Install AC
Restart

Now in your case, since you moved the drive to a different computer, the stock approach above may not work anyway. I do know that Access Connections works with the IBM card and the Intel 2200 card with new drivers. Cheers ... JD Hurst

It didn't work despite trying all of the above. Just went back to the X32 image nad rebuilt it to match what my T42p image had.
