USB 1.1 or 2.0 on T23?
USB 1.1 or 2.0 on T23?
My T23 has two USB ports. Am I right in thinking these are USB 1.1 standard and not USB 2.0? How does one tell?

The t23 usb ports are 1.1 not 2. Kyocera is correct about the device manager "enhanced" designation if usb 2 drivers are installed (which should only happen if usb 2 ports are available).
You can get usb 2 speed on a t23 with a PC card USB 2.0 adapter.

As you probably know, there are PC Cards (aka PCMCIA) that provide USB 2.0 ports for machines that only have USB 1.1 built in.
I've been using a (now old) Keyspan USB 2.0 Card very happily.
IMO this makes machines like the T30 a great deal now. The machine is otherwise fairly uptodate (Pentium IV and 802.11), and the problem that they lack USB 2.0 can be gotten around.

Thanks for the reply Gomjabbar. I purchased a serial port to USB 1 adapter two years ago thinking I would get an I/O speed boost. I couldn't notice any speed different, though Radio Shack (The maker & seller) claimed I would get near USB 1 speed.
I couldn't see how I would since, the adapter box shouldn't be able to increase the serial port speed. I wanted it mostly to improve a PC to Handheld connection anyway, so I kept the device.
