So I gotta make a choice...

...and I think I have. I want a T4x series. But there's a problem.
Lenovo's site sucks.
I can't seem to find a price for a T43p on their site, although I am sure it'll be big bucks.
I have about 1200 bucks to spend, and i'd like a T4xP series laptop (I do a lot of graphics work and a little gaming) because they're so [censored] sturdy.
My question is, can any of you point me to a good reputable reseller of T4X series laptops that carry some sort of warranty or are otherwise reputable? EBay doesn't cut it for me these days.
Any help is thoroughly appreciated, and many thanks to those who answered my questions about the FireGL before.

Try the T4x forum specifically. Maybe the mod will be nice and move your post for you.

The sponsor of this forum, Bill Morrow, is a VAR (seller) of new ThinkPads.

I don't think you can find a p-version of a T4x, for $1200. You might find a Mobility Radeon 9600 equipped one, which is the same chip, with less memory. I'd consider one of those.

The 9600 is definately not a bad chip.

1 - Go to lenovo.com (automatically selected US, but you may have to choose a country).
2 - Click ThinkPad notebooks under Products.
3 - Click ThinkPad T Series
4 - Click View all models
As of this moment, there are two T43p's. One for US$2599 and one for US$3669. You can get them for less with a credit card, or try their educational store if you are a student.
The cheapest T they have right now is listed at $1299.
And BillMorrow can offer a discount, runs this site, is a fine dealer, and he doesn't collect sales tax for most sales.

Addendum ... when you're on the site, look for factory refurbished and pre-owned models. I don't think you can find a new T4[x]p model for $1200, but you might find a reconditioned model with some kind of official warranty for that ... YMMV. Feel free to post questions about particular models (e.g. 2xxxx-xxx) here.

I just got my T43 2686E6U (ATI RADEON x300 w/ 64 MB) for $1200 through student discounts. Then again, I went out and bought a 80 GB drive, 1 GB RAM, and I'm contemplating the Bluetooth upgrade...so I immediately overshoot that $1200 number, but it came decently equipped (768 MB DDR2, 40 GB 5400 RPM drive, Pentium M 750 1.86 GHz, SXGA+, etc.).
EPP would probably yield around the same price if you know someone in a company that has a purchasing contract w/ IBM.
Gaming...I can run the Half-Life 2 (without HDR...duh) video stress test @ 60 FPS @ 800x600 using default settings or 37 fps @ 1024x768. Then again, HL2 scales back to slower hardware better than most games.
