I am looking for a case/sleeve/bag for my new z60m. I am considering the new Booq Powersleeve vs. the Waterfield Cargo(medium) w/ sleeve. Does anyone have experience w/ either of these items.

Just got for myself:

The best build sleeve I have ever seen..... EXCELLENT workmanship. I even send them a note of appreciation for such a fine product.

I have bought the old powersleeve for my 14" T42 and the new one for my 12" X31, and cannot recommend them enough, they are absolutely great products.

I tend to shy away from computer bags that look like "computer bags." They say to thieves, "Hey, GUESS WHAT I have in me." ;) I also don't like "sleeves" since they don't provide much side-impact protection. With bags, I can put a Wacom tablet or Targus Coolpad on the side facing my hip, so that as the bag swings, the laptop won't get smushed.

I use a Patagonia Vertical Mass bag, and Patagonia One Bag if I have to care more. Both have padded laptop sleeves, are exceptionally functional, and pretty comfortable to carry when loaded with TP, Targus Coolpad, Wacom Tablet, cell phone, wallets, pen, wireless mouse maybe, yada yada yada. Both bags are not cheap, but built like a tank. (Check Patagonia's sale area, or watch REI outlet or Sierra Trading Post.) The Patagonia One Bag is my current favorite. Works over the shoulder, or converts to a backpack, has lots of pockets, built of super-tough nylon.

I purchased a Waterfield Sleeve. Couldnt be happier - kinda classy with a cool design. Build quality is unmatched.

You could try to order both and test them out. All of your tastes differ tremendously.

I have a Powersleeve 14 that I'm very happy with. Just enough room for the power adaptor, cable lock, headphones and a notebook.

Does the old powersleeve 12 fit the X22? I have the new style powersleeve and it is barely too small.

I just purchased two waterfield sleeves complete with d-rings, flap, piggy back and suspension strap. One is for my T60p and the other is for one of my X31 thinkpads. I am extremely pleased with both. They fit like a glove, very comfortable to carry and provides plenty of protection. I use the piggy back to carry the power supply, wireless mouse and my ipod with accessories. Makes a nice tidy package.
