VPN Won't Start from Access Connections 4.01

I am using AC 4.01 on my T43p and unlike earleir versions, it will not start my VPN connection automatically or by pressing the "Start VPN" buttton in AC. AC simply does nothing.

I have tried uninstall/reinstall to no avail. My VPN is a standard Windows XP connection and it starts fine when I do it manually (outside AC).

Any ideas.
