Has anyone had experience with this? I have an HP SCSI Scanner with an ADF and lots of other features I paid an outrageous amount for a few years back but never used. Now I have only laptops and need a SCSI connection solution to make use of this really nice scanner. I saw this device and wondered if it worked well without many issues. Any input on this, or should I look for a different solution?
Thanks,
Yak

I have a USB2Xchange connected to one of the USB ports on my Mini-dock II, which I use to connect to an HP 6100C scanner when I'm in the office (fine for basic document scanning and built like a tank) and it works fine with both a T41 and a T43.
However, make sure you have a driver for your scanner that is supported by your current operating system. HP hasn't updated much of the SCSI scanner stuff for several years now... the HP6100C is fortunately supportable under Windows XP, but I know some collegues were out of luck with finding scanner drivers that worked reliably for a just slightly older SCSI connected HP Scanner.
Cheers,
Bill

Thanks for the information! Mine is either a 6350 or 6390, but I can't find the model number, only the SCSI processor number (C7670A). It has USB and SCSI output, but I'm thinking this must be an old USB v1.1 model so the SCSI connection will be far faster. I found the drivers on the HP support website. Now I'll try to find the adapter so I can play with this puppy and see what all it can do. I remember paying about $900 for it and would hate for it to be a total waste. The ADF and transparancy scanners alone make it worth keeping.
