PortableDriveBay + Ultrabay2000Multiburner = Possible??

This is a link to a post in the T4x section, on the possibility of using an Ultrabay 2000 DVD Multiburner externally with the Ultrabay 2000 Portable Drive Bay.

Can anyone with similar experiences please share 'em with me? I'm a bit in the dark here.
