Need HELP for IBM USB 2.0 portable Multi Burner

Hello,
sorry, I am new in this forum (found it today) and my first post here is because I need your help!
I have a T42 and I have burned a lot of DVD´s (-R) using the IBM USB 2.0 portable Multi Burner (FRU-nr: 22P9165, Part-nr: 22p9175) from my former T41 with Nero 6.0 or Sonic Record Now Version 7.

Today, I tried to burn a DVD-RW with that burner and it´s always failing!
I tried Nero => Power calibration error
I tried Record Now => Writing failure

What can I do? Refering to the manual, it should be possible to burn DVD-RW with that burner but mine ...

Could be media incompatibility. Some burners don't seem to like certain disks. Did you try a DVD-RW from a different manufacturer?

Could also be a bum disc - have you tried another disc, or that one in a different machine?
