I recently downloaded the "Software Installer" and, due to my negligence, have tons of new packages to download. However, there is one that caught my eye: "ThinkVantage Access Connections (without wireless drivers)".

Should I download this update package, or forget about it? The only thing that disturbed me was the fact it said "without wirless drivers"...does that mean I'm gonna have to manually find the drivers and download them myself or will the ThinkVantage AC work with the existing drivers?

Thanks in advance.

What version of AC are you running now? 3.81 is fine. 4.0 or 4.01 have some GUI improvements, but not much to make it a "must have."

I'd ensure your wireless drivers are up to date, then consider whether you want to update AC. Just my 2 cents.

Actually I have an older version...3.53.

So I'm assuming I should probably make the jump to the new ThinkVantage AC?

If you upgrade Access Connections, you need to make sure you have the updated wireless driver as well. See chart on following page to verify that you are using the correct driver. If you do upgrade, uninstall the existing Access Connections and wireless driver before upgrading. Upgrade the wireless driver first, then Access Connections.
