Difference between "Think Express" models vs. non-

I'm just trying to understand the difference between x60s 1702 "non-Express" models and x60s 1704 "Express" models. I do know that "Express" models are for small to med businesses but are there any architectural or design or physical difference between the two models??
All I can see is that some of 1704 have Bluetooth and/or CD-RW/DVD combo. Is this it? Or, are there any other significant differences such as in dimension, weight so on?
One more question:
Can anyone tell me why 1702-3QU is more expensive than 1704-4JU?? It doesn't make sense as the latter (the cheaper model) has CD-RW/DVD as well as Bluetooth - at least two more features than the former. All the other specs seem to be identical. Am I missing something?

You are not missing anything.
The latter model, as you said, is an express model, so it is a better overall deal, as long as you are happy with its configuration.
IBM has had the express models for a long time. They are less money than a non-express, but you can not customize them. You have to take them as they come. That is the difference. There is no difference in design or quality.

Also, depends on where you are, the Express models might be updated very frequently (monthly), probably depending on part suppliers. Which is why large businesses that want to buy identical laptops would not go with the Express models.
Non-Express models might actually be cheaper depending on your needs. The Express models are usually customized in such a way e.g. slower CPU comes with little RAM and a regular optical drive, faster CPU comes with lots of RAM and DVD writer. So if you customize you could get the parts you want for less money.

Yeah, check the tabook.pdf file for models that may fit you better. Then call and ask about the prices. I was deciding between two new T60's, the express had everything I wanted, but with the verizon wireless capability (which I didn't need and which jacked up the price). I found a non-express model that was about the same without the verizon. $150 dollars cheaper. Actually every internal component is the same. The things that differed were that the non-express had an additional 512mb RAM (bonus!), but a 6-cell instead of 9-cell (boo!). So on the plus side, I don't have to spend more money buying RAM, but the 9-cell battery would've been nice. Oh well, I'll have to buy a new battery in a couple of years anyway.
So just check it out, and ask! You never know!
