Problems with Bluetooth dial-up via Nokia 6630
I'm using my Nokia as a modem to connect to the internet. Whilst using the connection everything is ok, but if go to standby or hibernate while connection is still active something goes wrong.
When I resume from either of power saving mode I can not estabilish the connection mentioned again. Well... it is a bit more complicated because the connection notification shows like as the connection is being active, but if I clik on it, nothing happens nor can I use it to access the internet nor can I disconnect from it. Then I have to reboot the machine to use it again.
When windows is shutting down I get message that AuthHiddenWindow is not responding every time after the connection mentioned is stuck. I end it manually and continue rebooting. After reboot everything works well.
Anyone of you know how to fix this?
And by the way, I have disconnect wireless radios in Access Connections check box in global options ticked.

Not really, but I find it quite annoying because when in a hurry I just close the lid of the laptop and it goes to standby. When I remember that I forgot to disconnect it is allready to late. And moreover, next time I open the lide when I need computer everything is stuck and have to spent 5 more minutes rebooting.

Hmmm...
Under Linux their are scripts to handle events like a function key press or a lid closure. You can edit the scripts with a text editor to add commands to to other things, like shut down the connection first.
I'm not real sure how it works under Windows, but I bet if you dug around you could find the event handlers, and their might be a way to add commands or to call a batch file from them.

I realize the appeal of just closing the lid and scooting, but I have had mixed success with this on anything but an Apple PowerBook. For Windows, I log out (takes less time than hibernating), then suspend or hibernate. And since I have Access Connections disconnect network connections on logout, that closes down any Wifi/BT/Dial-up connections that I've made.
Try it for a while, see if it suits your work style.
