Okay so my LCD was just replaced under warranty but...

but it's a lot dimmer then my it was before and It dosent even appear to be as clear... what gives? :roll:

I dont know what type of LCD they put in it, but my laptop is a T40 (2374)

IBM?Lenovo can use NEW or REFURBISHED parts!

I had the same problem when I had an LCD replaced on a 600E, I sent it back in and they replaced it.

New Lenovo... they came and replaced it and its still not as bright. Im guessing its Lenovo then. Oh well

What about when plugged in? If its only on battery, check your Thinkpad Configuration > Display section.

Checked everything...
Im guessing that the LCD's that Lenovo uses now are not as bright
